Dennis Mannion

Dennis Mannion, is the former President/Chief Operating Officer, of the Los Angeles Dodgers
Major League Baseball franchise.
Mannion graduated from the University of Massachusetts
in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in business and sports management. He was hired by the Philadelphia Phillies
in 1982 and worked for the club through 1997, ultimately holding the position of Vice-President of Marketing and Sales. He was instrumental in acquiring the 1996 MLB All-Star Game for Philadelphia. He received two MLB Marketing Excellence Awards during his time with the club.
From 1997-1999 he was Senior Vice-President at Ascent Sports, owner's of the NHL's Colorado Avalanche
, NBA's Denver Nuggets
and the Pepsi Center
. He was instrumental in the Pepsi Center hosting the 2000 NHL All-Star Game.
After leaving Ascent, he joined the NFL's Baltimore Ravens
as Senior Vice-President of Business Affairs.
He joined the Dodgers in November 2007 as Executive Vice-President and was promoted to Team President in March 2009.
On October 7, 2010 the Dodgers announced that Mannion would be leaving the team and owner Frank McCourt
would take on a more active role with the club.
September 3, 2011 Detroit News reported that Mannion had been selected as the new CEO of Palace Sports and Entertainment, the parent company of the Detroit Pistons.
