Myers was born in Quonset Point, Rhode Island and is a graduate of William S. Hart High School in California and Santa Clara University

Myers holds the distinction of being the first woman to serve as White House Press Secretary, as well as being the second-youngest press secretary.

After leaving the White House, Myers was a frequent political commentator on cable and television networks and an original consultant to the prizewinning NBC
