Dayang Kalangitan was the Queen regnant
of Tondo, the eldest daughter of Rajah Gambang
, and the co-ruler of her husband Gat Lontok. She was considered to be one of the more powerful rulers of the kingdom that spanned swaths of land around the Pasig River

today. Around 1450 she become the sole ruler of both Bitukang Manok and Tondo. In order to maintain her power and influence as queen, Dayang Kalangitan agreed to the marriage of one of her daughters Dayang Panginoon to Prince Balagtas of Namayan, son of Empress Sasaban
. After Dayang Kalangitan, his son named Salalila
succeeded her. Since Salalila converted to Islam, Salalila changed his name into Sulaiman and became king of Tondo.
