David Morris (Australian aerial skier)

David John Morris was born on the 31st of August 1984 in Melbourne, Australia. He is an Australian Aerial/Freestyle Skier
. He is currently the only male on the Australian Aerial Skiing Team, and therefore ranked #1 (by default) in Australia. As at 8 February 2010, he is ranked number 21 in the world by the FIS

Morris won his first medal (silver) in an amateur competition in Park City and has gone on to win two individual Gold Medals in NorAm competitions and has finished 4th overall in two NorAm seasons (2007/8 and 2008/9).
Morris jumped in his first World Cup competition on the 30th of January 2009. During the World Cup 2009/10 season Morris placed in the finals twice, with a best result of 9th (Deer Valley, 15 January 2010). His performances led to his selection in the Australian Olympic Team
for the 2010 Winter Olympics
in Vancouver, Canada. He was the first Australian male to compete in aerial skiing at the Winter Olympics for 12 years.
Morris travels to the USA and Canada to train, jumping on snow and into water. He lives in Melbourne, Australia.
