Suicide

Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death. Suicide is often committed out of despair or attributed to some underlying mental disorder, such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, alcoholism, or drug abuse...

 by gunshot in August 1997 in the town's mayoral offices due to personal debt. There were also allegations of corruption, albeit with no serious evidence found. Dwork is survived by a wife, Johanna Dwork, two children, and two grandchildren.
