She is also remembered for shooting standing instead of prone under a mass start in Oberhof during the season 2008/2009, consequently withdrawing from the race. Domracheva added to her fame during the same discipline in the 2009/2010 season, when she went in to shoot on range 1, but ended up firing three of her shots on the targets of range 2. Despite this Domracheva finished 9th in the race.
