Darina was born in Hidalgo, Pachuca

. She has an older brother, Jorge, and her mother, Dra. Uribe. Darina began working in a bar-restaurant, 'el cuartel de Villa', where she began having her first fans; Then she work on a radio station in Pachuca. On 2001 She began to study on the University of Pachuca, but she stop it to being part of Operación Triunfo, and then she won the first place of that reality show.

In 2003, she released her first album Darina, with the collaboration of David Bisbal

In 2004 She went to France, to being part of World Best, another reality show, representing Mexico, but she won the 4th place with 66 points.

In the last years, Darina has been very busy working on her second album, which is planned to be released on 2008. Last year she had a few presentations in Canada, singing in local bars and clubs. Nowadays she is having presentations in Mexico.

Hoy Como Ayer

In Summer 2008, Darina released her new album called Hoy Como Ayer

through a special pre-sale on her official website. The album was produced by Vladimir Arredondo, and it was recorded in Mexico City. The first single is called "Cansada" which is having airplay in Hidalgo, Morelos, Mexicali, and some other cities in Mexico.

The album is planned to be released in September 2008. At the moment it is already in stores of Pachuca, Hidalgo. This album is being released in an independent way, due Darina's disappointment of her labels.
