Farmlands of mainly wheat, potatoes and pasture lands are in the east with gridded country roads while mountains dominate the north and the rest of the community. In addition, the valley is filled with peach and apple orchards.

Until the mid-20th century, the population was large it was about 1,000. The total population from 1981 to 2001 has lost 33.52% or slightly over 33%.
