Club career

Turkovs started his professional career in 2006 with Olimps/RFS. He played for the team until 2008, when he was released. He had played 35 matches and scored 2 goals in this period of time. Looking for a new club was unsuccessful, so Turkovs signed for Olimps/RFS one more time in 2009. This year-long spell together with the team was more successful - 7 goals in 12 matches. In 2010 he was one of the Olimps/RFS players to be taken to Skonto FC
