Daniël Mijtens the Younger (1644, The Hague

), was a Dutch Golden Age
painter and the son of Daniel Mytens the Elder.
with the nickname "Bontekraay".
He was one of the 48 signers of the founding charter of the Confrerie Pictura
in the Hague, and painted one of the four corner pieces of the ceiling of the "Boterwaag" where the guild members met. The other corners were painted by Theodor van der Schuer

, and Robbert Duval.
According to the RKD, he was a pupil of his father, who was court painter in the Hague. He is known for mythological subjects and interior decorations. His pupils were Lourens Bruyning, Nicolaes Hooft, Mattheus Terwesten
, and Elias Vinie.
