 priest convicted for a violent disruption of a protest against Amicus Chemicals Corporation that he took part in. During the protest he assaulted a police officer that was arresting him and the others. Meehan, along with others were attempting to overturn one of the delivery trucks owned by the chemical company. , Meehan has very little interaction with any of the other inmates. O'Reily himself grew up Catholic but left the church because his priests refused to help him. Father Meehan tries to convince O'Reily that all priests are different and that O'Reily should come back to the church.

The relationship between Meehan and O'Reily is rocky initially which is ironic considering that Meehan tries to help get Cyril off of death row. Meehan asks O'Reily many times for O'Reilly to pray with him but to no avail. However, Meehan dies of an aneurysm and O'Reily regrets the way he treated Father Meehan when Meehan was nothing but kind to him. O'Reily asks that he be allowed to wash Meehan's body, which Dr. Nathan allows.
