Daniel Blumenthal is a German-born American pianist.

, then continued studies at the University of Michigan, where he received his Bachelor of Music. He received his Master of Music degree and Doctor of Musical Arts from the Juilliard School of Music in New York

Blumenthal has won several competitions, including the Sydney International Piano Competition
, (1981), the Geneva International Music Competition
, the Busoni Competition
(both 1982), and he was laureate of the 1983 Queen Elisabeth Music Competition
.
Daniel Blumenthal is Professor at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels, and of the Thy Masterclass Chamber Music Festival in Denmark. In 1995 he was on the jury of the Queen Elisabeth Competition for Piano. He is an honorary member and musical advisor of Icons of Europe, Brussels.
