Dangerous Dan is a comic strip in The Beano

. The strip debuted in August 2011 . The strip is about a young black boy
who thinks he is a secret agent. The character believes that an organisation called SMIRK, (Secret Ministry of Intelligent Rotters Komittee) an acronym explained in every strip up until issue 3600, is conspiring against him. However by issue 3601 it turns out that SMIRK is a real organisation out to get Dangerous Dan. According to Nigel Parkinson's blog the character's final (sixth) episode is nearing but a Reader's poll will decide whether the character stays or not.
