Dan Koch is the lead guitarist and principal songwriter for the indie rock band Sherwood
. He helped form the band with Nate Henry
in 2002 while attending university at Cal Poly
. Dan was originally Sherwood
's drummer, but when drummer Joe Greenetz joined the band he switched from drums to guitar. Dan married girlfriend Jaffrey Bagge on November 29, 2009.

He currently leads a mix cd club called "Shyness is Nice". Each month, a different member of the club sends out a mix of their choice to all of the other members.
