Damnably is a small, independent organisation, based in London, which organises performances and tours for musicians, podcasts music and video via its website, and releases CDs and records.
Its constituency is associated with the cultural legacy of the late John Peel
.The organisation initially acquired its name and impetus through promotion of a fundraising 'John Peel Day,' in 2006. This event has grown to the extent that the 2010 event involved 30 acts and 20 promoters.
The musicians that Damnably has worked with include many international artists whose work was featured on Peel's radio programmes (e.g. Shonen knife
