.This is a beautiful village and surrounded with greenary and covered with water tank (Cheruvu) and small river (Sela yeru). History is associated with Venkatagiri Kings (yachendra's) ruled Venkatagiri. This village was donated by Venkatagi Kings or Zamindar's for forty(40) bramhin families as an agraharam.

Agriculture and cultivation is main profession for 90% of villagers.Paddy, Lemons, Mangoes,different kind of dal they produce in village.
