 used the two words ‘crucial’ and ‘essential’ constantly, and the title of the album is a contraction of the two words.

The album is released in two versions: the first version, released in 1996, and the second version released in 1997, with two added tracks: "Stand" and "Gloom". The two versions featured different covers.

The original tracks were recorded and mixed at Track House and Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen
