Various services are provided throughout the year, mainly in the Summer months to all stations to Mendip Vale and occasionally, specials are run to Westbury.The station was built to serve the village of Cranmore.

The station buildings contain a ticket office, museum and waiting room.As the main station and home of the East Somerset Railway, Cranmore station also provides several facilities for visitors:
