The County Councils Network is a Special Interest Group within the Local Government Association
, and its members are the 37 English County Councils. The Network's stated purpose is "to promote the voice of its members within the LGA and the values and interests of the English Counties".
The CCN works on a cross-party basis, with members of its Management Committee drawn from all three major parties. The current Chairman of the CCN is Councillor Robert Gordon of Hertfordshire
