wasn't well received by the viewers. However, on July 30, 2010, he said that the show would keep its original name.

It was announced by ABC that the show will be put on a major hiatus, returning on April 18, 2011 after a shortened Dancing with the Stars and return to its original timeslot on April 20, 2011 as the new show Mr. Sunshine will premiere in Cougar Town's timeslot.
