of the Coryton Line

in which the line originates from Cardiff Queen Street

as part of the Valley Lines
network.
A station was first opened here by the Cardiff Railway
in 1911 and relocated by the Great Western Railway
in 1931. It was proposed for closure in the Beeching Report
of 1963, but survived. The line beyond here closed in 1952.

and Class 143 Pacer
units and sometimes Class 150 Sprinter
units.
Saturdays often sees the use of one-carriage Class 153 Super Sprinter
units, as services are less busier and two-car units can be freed onto busier services.
