The Copenhagen football champions were the winners of a league tournament held under various names in the years 1903–1936. It replaced The Football Tournament
(1889–1903) as the finest Danish
football tournament of its time.
From 1912 to 1927 it served as the Copenhagen
qualifier for the National Football Tournament, a national playoff to elect a Danish Champion
. The National Football Tournament was won by a team from Copenhagen all the times contested. From 1927 to 1936 it coexisted with the Danish Championships
with the best Copenhagen teams competing in both competitions.
The Football Tournament
The Football Tournament was a Danish football tournament played 14 times in the years 1889–1903. The tournament was played under the auspices of the Danish Football Association, and was contested by the best Danish teams of its time. The winners are not considered official Danish champions.-...
