International career

Doyle was called up to the U.S.A Under 20 squad for their training camp in mid December. In January 2011, he was called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad to face Cyprus. International rules state Doyle can play for both Ireland and U.S.A below full senior level, and in December he revealed he was yet to make a final decision on which country he will represent.

Doyle was called up to the United States U-20 squad for the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in March-April. In June 2011, Doyle committed his future to the United States. In October 2011, Doyle was called up to a training camp with the USA Under-23 squad.
