History

The original company was founded in Cambridge, UK in 1997, as nGame, and specialised in the development of mobile and digital TV games. In 2002, nGame was acquired by US mobile publisher Mforma Inc, and grew to become a top 5 mobile game publisher in Europe by 2005. Also in 2005 the European management team took over operations in Asia and Latin America, and Mforma branding is changed to Hands*On Mobile.

In 2008, the name Connect2Media is born, after Hands*On Mobile is acquired by the European management team.

As part of its expansion, Connect2Media buys RayFusion, based in Tel Aviv, Israel who specialised in the distribution and aggregation of content in the Israeli market. The name is changed to Connect2Media Middle East, and the company now has partnership agreements with leading content providers around the world including: Electronic Arts, Digital Chocolate, and many others.

In 2010, Connect 2 Media acquired the PrizePlay gaming assets of Sennari, and published two games including Battleships and Pachinko on Verizon in the USA. In addition, Executive Chairman, Nick Alexander, joined the company in 2010 after working at Sega Europe, Future Publishing and Natural Motion.

In 2011, Connect2Media confirmed deals with two companies to bring their IPs to mobile devices. The first was with Universal Studios and Universal Music Group to produce and distribute a game based on the JAWS iPhone title. The second was with Winning Moves to bring Top Trumps licenses to mobiles including James Bond, Supercars and NBA.
