. He was Captain when the Victoria Cougars
won the Stanley Cup
in 1925, and later became the first Captain of the Detroit Cougars (NHL), forerunner of the Detroit Red Wings
(NHL). Loughlin also coached the Black Hawks for three seasons starting with the 1934–35 season.
