Early in his career Clark opened offices for J.P. Morgan

He subsequently managed investment portfolios for J.P. Morgan globally and later became the President of Global Asset Management, the world's first successful multi-manager firm. When G.A.M. was sold to UBS, Clark founded his own firm, Winter Capital, an independent, multi-manager advisory firm, structuring bespoke portfolios for investors worldwide.

The success of Winter Capital led to the acquisition of the firm by Citigroup
