On 31 January 2011, he was seriously injured in a car accident. He fell asleep in the passenger seat of a car being driven by his team-mate Sébastien Bruzzese
who, it is alleged, had been drinking. It is unclear when he will return to play and whether he will face any disciplinary measures from his club.
