The Chortle Student Comedian of the Year is a national search of the UK's universities to find the 'funniest student', run by the comedy website Chortle. Heats take place in the spring term, and the event is open to students aged 18 years or over enrolled in tertiary education at any UK university.

The prizes and location of the final varies. It has previously been sponsored by Revels (confectionary). In 2009, the cash prize was £1000 for the winner and £250 for the runner-up.
