2009 Bond Issue

In November 2008, Choctaw-Nicoma Park voters passed a 54 million dollar bond issue that will provide the funding for 2 brand new schools. The two new schools will be Choctaw Middle School and Nicoma Park Elementary which will both be completed by the 2011-2012 school year. The bond money will also go for site improvements on the other seven schools in Choctaw-Nicoma Park.

Choctaw Middle School

Choctaw Middle School has an enrollment of about 650 students. Choctaw Middle School scored a 6 out of 10 in the great schools standardized test. Choctaw just got a new school and is one of the nicest schools in the country. Choctaw also just got a brand new football stadium with new artificial field turf and stands. Choctaw used to be home to one of the oldest school buildings in the country. They just opened a time capsule from the 1960s.
