, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every Thursday night of the week throughout the year. In keeping with the tradition set forth by past members of the Chicago Highlanders, the band dedicates the first half-hour of their practice time to teaching students.

In addition to performing throughout the year at parades, festivals, and private engagements, the band currently competes in Grade 4 as a member of the Midwest Pipe Band Association

History

The band played for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip when they visited Chicago for its International Trade Fair on July 6, 1959, and were part of the official reception along with the 2nd U.S. Marine Division Band.

The band has also played for President John F. Kennedy during one of his stops in Chicago during his 1960 presidential campaign.
