 football ground. Chetak recently won the "Vahutak" football championship held in August 2007, beating Sangam Football Club, Fatima Football Club and City Club to win the tournament. They organise the EFA (Ex-Fergussonians' Association) Cup every year.

One of the most consistent and old clubs in Pune, Chetak is known for its free flowing football.
Chetak is currently ranked third in the P.D.F.A. after finishing third in the recently concluded Peninsula Land Pune Football League for super division teams. Chetak has been through highs and lows during its 20 years journey.

Currently Chetak practices on the Fergusson College Ground in Pune. The practice and the club management is mainly handled by Mangesh Shinde.

Chetak has a long tradition of nurturing and developing young talent and has produce arguably some the best players to grace the P.D.F.A. Many of these players have also represented Pune district and Maharashtra with a few having played for NFL teams.

History

The club was founded in 1988 by some football enthusiasts, who used to play regularly at the Fergusson College grounds. Chetak FC were promoted to the Senior division in the 1994-95 season and currently play in the super division. They managed to end as runners-up in the 1995-96 PDFA senior division league. The chetak squad at that time consisted of notable players like Mangesh Kadam, Rahul Chavan, Siddarth Jamdar, Altaf Sayyed and Chetan Chavan.
