Walker is currently serving a ten year sentence in the minimum security facility at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Estill, South Carolina
. He was convicted on 127 counts, including tax evasion, mail fraud and conspiracy by a federal court in Augusta. His projected release date from federal prison is September 26, 2014.
His appeal was rejected on July 6, 2007.
Walker filed a petition for habeas corpus in March 2009. The federal judge who presided over his trial recused himself from presiding over Walker's petition in May 2009.
