History

The church began meeting on September 20, 1970 with six people present at Klein Intermediate School under the founding pastor, Rev. Robin Guess. In April 1978, Rev. Damon Shook began his nearly three decades of service as pastor of the church. In 1991, the church purchased 49 acres (198,296.1 m²) at the corner Stuebner-Airline and Strack Road for just over $2.2 million. The current worship center opened in 2002. In 2007, Dr. David Fleming joined the church as senior pastor.
