Distribution

It is an Italian endemism with a quite restricted distribution range. It is only present in the Apennines of Liguria and Piedmont, in northwestern Italy.

Habitat

The species is strictly associated with serpentine substrates, without a manifest relationship with chemical properties of these soils. It grows in ultramafic outcrops and scrublands in mountain evironment, at an altitude of 400–1200 m (1,312.3–3,937 ) above sea level.
