Early life
Sadler was born in Martinsville, Indiana to Linda Rendleman and Stan Sadler. Her parents divorced when she was two, and she was raised as a young girl in Indianapolis with her mother, step-father, older sister and younger brother. Her mother was a writer and magazine editor, but eventually returned to the family business of real estate in Martinsville. Sadler appeared in a number of school plays, her first at the age of 9 as Little Red Riding Hood. Shortly after, she made her film debut in the movie, Hoosiers. She was heavily involved in music as well, playing the part of Cinderella in the musical Cinderella and Glenda the Good Witch in Wizard of Oz.
