Catholic Medical Center is home to the nationally recognized New England Heart Institute, which provides a full range of cardiac services and is a pioneer in offering innovative surgical procedures. The New England Heart Institute is home to the Cholesterol Management Center. Dr. Peter Klementowicz serves as the Medical Director of the Cholesterol Management Center and he is New Hampshire's only board certified cardiologist/lipidologist. The New England Heart Institute is the region’s premier comprehensive cardiac center with 28 board-certified cardiologists and mid-level providers who diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease.

History

CMC recently finished a 50000 square feet (4,645.2 m²) medical office building, 750-car parking facility with attached pedestrian walkway. Within the hospital, ten state-of-the-art operating suites with new peri- and post-operative area have recently been completed.

CMC uses the da Vinci Surgical Robotics System to perform life-saving surgery with fewer complications. Since January 2003, CMC has performed more than 600 prostectomies.
