Encyclopedia
Cathedral City High School is a public high school for grades 9-12. It is located in Cathedral City, California
and is part of the Palm Springs Unified School District
.
Tenth grade scores for the CAHSEE have risen from the lowest to the highest in the valley because of the new principal, Guillermo Chavez's effort to improve scores and phenomenal performances by the English teachers weeks prior to the test. The CAHSEE is necessary in order to graduate. These performances and the determination shown by teachers recently proved a plus for the visit by WASC members. In three weeks, the accreditation results will be received, resulting in a one, three, or six year accreditation. It has been foretold that this has been one of the best visits by the WASC team and a six-year accreditation is expected.
Cathedral City High School has the highest testing scores in the Palm Springs Unified School District, and the second highest in the Valley.
