production has been replaced with live instrumentation on vibraphone, grand piano, viola, mandolin, stand-up bass, and timpani.
The album was conceived during Dessa’s Into The Spin Tour—the first tour she’d done with her live trio (Sean McPherson, Dustin Kiel, and Joey Van Phillips). Audiences responded so well to their inventive re-arrangements, and the nuance of their performances, that the new treatments seemed to warrant capturing.
