Carolyn Dailey

Carolyn Dailey is an entertainment and media executive who in 2011 founded Dailey Communications, which offers bespoke strategic advice on the launch of new creative sector ventures and new communications and branding initiatives for london-based and international companies and organisations.

Previously, Dailey built a 20-year career at global entertainment company, Time Warner, based in London, starting with the team that launched CNN, Turner Classic Movies and Cartoon Network in Europe, then handling Turner Broadcasting Policy interests in all regions outside the US – Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia and Latin America – and rising most recently to head Time Warner’s European Policy office in London. There Dailey advised on Time Warner’s long-term strategy and at CEO level represented Time Warner, and its divisions HBO, CNN, Warner Bros. and Time Inc., with key influential leaders including policymakers, editors and creative industry leaders in order to achieve business critical goals. Dailey was recently named one of the Top 10 Women in WIRED Magazine's 'Britain's Top 100 Digital Power Brokers Shaping the Digital World.'

Career

Before joining Time Warner, Dailey specialized in Corporate Finance and M&A at the international law firm White & Case, starting in their New York City headquarters before moving to their European headquarters in London. Dailey previously held Congressional staff positions in Washington, D.C. and a Corporate Communications post with Estée Lauder in Paris.

, Dailey serves on the Board of Directors of youth filmmaking charity First Light Movies, the UK’s leading initiative enabling young people to develop their skills, talent, creativity, confidence and entrepreneurial capabilities by making short digital films under the supervision and mentoring of film industry professionals.

Dailey is a lifetime member of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts, and a member of Women in Film and Television. She is on the Council of The Serpentine Gallery and a Special Angel for ArtAngel.

Education

Dailey has a JD Magna Cum Laude from Boston College Law School and a BA with Honours in Art History from UCLA and the Advanced Programme in French Language and Civilisation at the University of Paris Sorbonne.
