Governorship

From 1998 to 2007 she issued projects that boost education, tourism and good governance. It includes scholarships, development of roads and reopening of Elephant Island as Bellaroca. However, there are a lot of allegations of corruption being thrown to her. Being in the seat for so many years, the number of scholarships she has been giving to the people is unfairly disproportionate to what she receives from the government. It is evidently clear that there are no infrastructures that her governorship has made sticking still the people to an impoverished kind of living. Despite the fact that she has been governor for several terms and his son sat as congressman, Marinduque still remains as one of the poorest provinces in the Philippines.
