It is the goal of Carlisle High School to provide a quality educational experience in a positive, innovative, and safe learning environment.

Background

Carlisle High School is the senior high of the Carlisle Local School District (Carlisle, Ohio). The school was originally located in two story building on the corner of Jamaica Road and Fairview Drive. It is now at 250 Jamaica Road. The current building, constructed in 1972, has unique architecture. The school was built for the utmost efficiency in climate control. Earthen mounds surround the building, and the building is partially set in the ground. The school enrollment is about 540. Carlisle High School strives for academic excellence. Six AP classes are offered: English Literature, Calculus, Chemistry, Government, United States History, and Spanish Language. The Ohio Education Association considers Carlisle High School to be an "Excellent" rated school. Carlisle is also a member of the High Schools That Work Association, a group that helps secondary education institutions set goals for improvement.
