. The band was formed in 1996 and has been experimenting with different styles of electronica. The group is one of the pioneers of unique Finnish freeform sound often referred to as FINRG. The group includes four members: Toni Eronen, Petteri Kääpä, Teemu Lahtinen and Ville Sorsa. Live PA composition consists of two to four guys depending on the situation.

Carbon Based has released tracks on Max and Amino's Alien Trax, the Mexican's labels Electronic and Electrolysis and Scandinavia's first hard trance label FINRG Recordings, which is co-owned by Carbon Based with DJ RX.
