Main sights

Sights include the "Villa Cusani Confalonieri", originally built as a castle and that became municipal property when the family died out. Now you can find there a park and the public library.

The imposing church of Sant' Ambrogio e Simpliciano, built in the 19th century, is situated in the centre of the town, near the statue of Sant'Anatalone, which has been restored recently.

Carate Brianza is divided into the following frazioni (roughly equivalent to the anglocentric ward): Agliate, and Costa Lambro .

The most important monument is the Basilica of San Pietro and San Paolo in Agliate, the church is a masterpiece of the Romanesque style.
