After splitting up in 2007 Richard Phoenix had an idea to make Captain Everything! a big band. So he knocked at Jon Whitehouse's door and told him to bring members of The Steal

 into Captain Everything!, he said a bigger band makes better music. Jon told Lew and Lew said ok after a year as a band again they write some new songs and showed them to members of The Steal but the members wanted to do their own work. So after failing the band thought it would be the right thing to split up for good and do new things.
