Capitol Land Trust

Capitol Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization based in Olympia, Washington
. CLT was formed in 1987 by a group of citizens in South Puget Sound
who were concerned about the rapid uncontrolled growth in the area.

beneficial. By working cooperatively, and with support from its members and the community, Capitol Land Trust protects the natural environment
by offering landowners non-regulatory alternatives. As of April 2007 CLT has protected 2516 acres (10.2 km²) of natural
areas in the South Puget Sound region.
CLT is governed by a board of directors who oversee the work of three full-time staff. The board is led by an executive committee made up of board officers (president, vice president, treasurer and secretary) and the executive director. Seven standing committees help the Trust meet its mission.
