Capasin

The Capasins are a fictional race from the Animorphs book series first seen in The Ellimist Chronicles
. They resemble squids, with giant, bulbous heads dominated by glittering blue eyes, a beak-like mouth, and a number of thin, multi-jointed arms. They came across images of the Ketran
Games and thought the games were real. Believing that Ketrans actually played with the evolution of species as if they were toys, the Capasins launched a crusade and wiped out the Ketrans in a display of military force the Ketrans were unable to match.
Capasin ships are described as having raked cylinders, an arched neck, and dagger points, with the dagger points presumably being the source of the Capasin beam weapons. They also carry a smaller "boat" which can be released from their belly.
Capasin armaments include a pale red beam weapon, similar to a heat ray, as well as a flechette weapon that launches clouds of sharp-edged metal hooks with a "sound like a volcano blowing."
