. The CSIA's purpose is to ensure a nationwide ski teaching standard that also promotes the importance of ski safety. It helps to develop effective skiing techniques and teaching methods.

The organization grants four levels of certification as well as several module certifications to ski instructors. Each successive level demonstrates competence in ski instruction, pedagogy
