(CBU), located in Nova Scotia, Canada. CIC has programs in Business and Engineering and Mass Communication, and grants both Canadian university degrees from Cape Breton University, and Egyptian degrees accredited by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. CIC’s admission standards comply with admission requirements at CBU, and academic performance is monitored by CBU. CIC’s ongoing quality assurance measures ensure CIC students receive the same programming as their CBU counterparts.

Campus

CIC was built over a total area of about 25,000 square meters with buildings amounting to only 16% of the land, and the rest covered by green & sports areas.
Future expansions were added to the campus later in 2008 including a new building and recreational areas.

Cooperative Education

It is CIC’s mission to play a key role in the technological advancement of Egyptian industry. CIC is striving to provide industry with well-educated employees possessing the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience needed for such advancement.

program gives students the opportunity to enrich their education by alternating periods of classroom study with up to four periods of off-campus work experience. CIC provides its students with internship opportunities in some of the leading businesses in Egypt. Each work experience period is two-and-a-half to four months in duration, and involves students in supervised, paid, full-time work related to their areas of study.

The combination of theory and practice during the academic year provides a meaningful context for learning, in addition to providing students with the necessary skills to excel in their fields. CIC has mutual agreements with major local, Arab and international companies to provide Co-op jobs for its students.

Criticism

The CIC has been criticized by students for giving an incomplete transcript. The transcripts given to students from Cape Breton University don't include the grades of the first three years and lists them as transfer credits. School officials announced in 2008 that the issue will be solved within a year but till current date the issue hasn't been solved yet.
