Sponsors of this year's league competition include phone company Hello, cable company KTC, telecom company KTH, airport management company SCA and international airline Bangkok Airways. A prize of 50 million riels awaits the league winners, with second place getting 30 million riels, third place 20 million riels, fourth 10 million riels and fifth place 5 million riels. A fair play award of 5 million riels will also be given at the end of the season.
Of the ten teams, Takeo province's Kirivong Sok Sen Chey is the only club not based in Phnom Penh. 2008 Division A1 champions Kampot province were promoted to the CPL but had to withdraw due to financial difficulties.
Currently, the two top teams are Phnom Penh Crown and Nagacorp FC

Phnom Penh Crown Club on Saturday 21st, August, won Cambodian Premier League 2010 after the crown bet 4-3 with Preah Khan Reach (Royal Sword) football Club at the final tournament at the Olympic stadium in Phnom Penh.
Phnom Penh Crown also awarded 13, 000 US dollars from the football Federation of Cambodia and the sponsor this year. The runner –up Royal Sword club got the cash award of 11,000 US dollars.
Keo Sokgnoun titled fair player this year with the cash award of 500 US dollars.
