Edmonton Ladies have dominated the Calgary Tournaments, however, there have been close tussles in the past. Calgary Ladies won the local Tournament in 2003. Vancouver has failed to send teams to the Calgary Tournament since 2000, but in 2006 they did make the trip and really enhanced the tournament, they went one better, winning the tournament in 2008.

Calgary Men have dominated on home soil, however the 2006 tournament will be remembered as the Tournament in which the Kangaroos made the breakthrough on behalf of Australian Rules teams in Western Canada.

2003 a notable year as both the Ladies and Men fielded 2 teams each. 8 different teams competed that year, and it was the first tournament that the Calgary Kangaroos attended (and they have been ever present since).
